The theme of the Panthers this year is stocking the forwards. With a few good defensive prospects, the Panthers need offense, and in particular need some strength down the middle. Ottawa 67’s center Martindale will be a good fit here. A playmaker who can also score goals, Martindale should make it to the AHL quickly and be ready to move up just as Florida’s deal with trade-bait Stephen Weiss is expiring.
