The Panthers today announced goaltending prospect Marc Cheverie has been traded to the Phoenix Coyotes in exchange for undrafted forward Justin Bernhardt.
Per CapGeek, Bernhardt has one season remaining on a three-year (two-way) contract and will likely split time between the ECHL Cincinnati Cyclones and AHL San Antonio Rampage – a club he’s previously played for. The Rio Grand Valley Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League are another potential destination, though highly unlikely given his career to this point (and you have to admire Dale Tallon at times like this: the man’s got options).
