Florida Panthers reserve Maxim Mamin was the only Cat or potential Cat player in action in European pro yesterday. Mamin scored CSKA Moscow’s only goal in a 5-1 loss to Sibir. The goal was Mamin’s tenth of the season, marking the third time he has hit double-digits in his KHL career. He scored ten goals in 51 games in 2019-20. This season, it took the 25-year-old just 28 games to equal that number. His career-high in goals is 12, so he seems well on his way to surpass that total. Mamin scored on his only shot, logged 17:48 and finished the tilt with an even rating.
On Sunday, Justin Schutz and EC Red Bull Salzburg returned to ICE Hockey League action after a four-week break due to COVID-19. Schutz finished the game with three shots on goal and a -1 rating. He has three assists in eight games in the Austrian league this season. Now that his team is back, we will be tracking his progress.
