The Panthers announced Monday that team captain Bryan McCabe would miss 4 to 6 weeks after taking a puck off his face in Saturday’s game against the New Jersey Devils. McCabe was already playing with a broken finger. The Panthers, while still out of a playoff spot, have played at a more consistent level in this, McCabe’s second season as captain, than in the previous several year.
