Gameday 25: Florida Panthers vs Dallas Stars

The Florida Panthers (14-8-2) will try to halt a three-game losing streak on home ice when they do battle with the Dallas Stars (14-6-3) tonight at Amerant Bank Arena. Florida closed out November on the good foot by picking up five out of a possible six points in a three-game road trip through Canada that included stops in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal, but were beaten 4-3 by the opportunistic New York Islanders on Saturday, despite carrying the majority of the play outshooting them by a wide 45-27 margin. The loss cost the Panthers second place in the Atlantic Division as they were passed by the Detroit Red Wings last night.

After romping to an 8-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning in Dallas on Saturday afternoon, the Stars opened up a three-game road trip by getting blanked by Andrei Vasilevskiy and the Bolts 4-0 in the rematch at Amalie Arena on Tuesday. Ageless wonder Joe Pavelski leads Dallas in goals (11) and points (24). Jason Robertson comes in hot, collecting points in 13 of the last 16 games.
