The rescheduled 2023 Women’s Division 1A World Championship which was originally supposed to take place in March is underway in Shenzhen, China.
Yesterday’s games saw Denmark rout the Netherlands by a 6-1 count; Austria blank Norway 4-0; and host China eke out a 1-0 win over Slovakia.
The first and second-place teams in the tournament will be promoted to the Top Division for the 2024 World Championship, replacing Hungary and France,while the bottom team will be relegated to Division 1B.

The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed restricted free agent defenceman Logan Stanley to a one-year contract worth $1 million. Stanley, 25, has played three seasons with the Jets since being drafted in the first round (18th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, recording 20 points in 114 career games. In 2022-23, he produced three points in 19 games.
