NHL players have decided to defer a final decision on their last paycheck of the season until May 15. The players now have until the middle of next month to decide whether to forgo any of their final payment to help with escrow. (Sportsnet)

The Columbus Blue Jackets signed All-Star goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to a two-year contract extension on Friday. The deal is worth $5.6 million. This season he posted a 19-12-5 record, 2.60 goals against average, and .911 save percentage. (Jackets Cannon)

The St. Louis Blues inked defenseman Marco Scandella to a three-year, $13.1 million contract extension. The Blues acquired Scandella, who started the season in Buffalo, from the Montreal Canadiens on February 18. (St. Louis Game Time)

The Stanley Cup champs also agreed to a two-year contract extension with forward MacKenzie MacEachern. MacEachern put up seven goals and ten points in 51 games this season. (St. Louis Game Time)

The Tampa Bay Lightning signed Daniel Walcott to a one-year contract extension. The 26-year-old defenseman produced 19 points in 55 games with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch this season. (Raw Charge)

Goaltender Jacob Ingham signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings. The Kings selected Ingham in the sixth round (175th overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft. Ingham went 33-8-5 with a 2.96 GAA in 46 games with the OHL’s Kitchener Rangers. (Jewels From The Crown)
