NHL Draft

The results for the draft lottery for the 2018 NHL Entry Draft are in and the winners were the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, and Montreal Canadiens. The Sabres, the team who finished with the lowest amount of points in the league this season, had the best odds and will pick first. Carolina moved up from the 11th spot to capture the second overall pick. The Hurricanes had just a 3.3% of picking second, so lady luck was on its side last night. Montreal moved up one slot, further bumping down the Ottawa Senators and Arizona Coyotes, who will now select fourth and fifth in the first round instead of second and third. The Florida Panthers will make the fifteenth overall pick.
