FOX Sports Florida and the Florida Panthers announced that ‘Red Deer’ Randy Moller has been named the new television color analyst for the 2019-20 season, replacing the retired Denis Potvin. Moller joins play-by-play man Steve Goldstein in the broadcast booth after spending each of the last four seasons as a host and an analyst between the benches.
Moller has spent the last 21 years serving in a variety of capacities for the Cats, including as the club’s radio play-by-play voice where he provided fans with enthusiastic and colorful broadcasts. In addition to his on-air duties, Moller has been part of the team’s front office staff since 2002, where he currently serves as the club’s Vice President of Broadcasting & Panthers Alumni. Moller also serves as president of the Panthers Alumni Association.

Both Florida Panthers prospects, Spencer Knight and Serron Noel, at the World Junior Summer Showcase did not play in Canada’s 4-1 over the Team USA yesterday. Kirby Dach (Chicago Blackhawks) scored twice and set up a goal and Joe Veleno (Detroit Red Wings) and Nolan Foote (Tampa Bay Lightning) added markers for Canada. Foote also picked up two assists. Cole Caufield (Montreal Canadiens) scored the only goal for the Americans.
Canada will play Finland today at 1 p.m. while the Americans will take on Sweden at 4 p.m. Both games will be broadcast on NHL Network. So tune in if you need a hockey fix.

The Ottawa Senators traded goaltender Mike Condon to the Tampa Bay Lightning for the contract of veteran forward Ryan Callahan. The trade also included a swap of late-round picks in 2020. Callahan has one year left on his deal and was placed on LTIR after suffering a career-ending back injury and a degenerative back disease diagnosis this past season. The Colorado Avalanche signed RFA forward Vladislav Kamenev to a one-year contract worth $750,000. Kamenev, 22, appeared in 23 games with the Avs last season and produced two goals and three assists. (Mile High Hockey)
