Saturday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The start of the NHL regular season is still a few weeks away, but we are getting there, folks. This weekend, we have nice distractions on hand to make the wait much more bearable.

Today, the Florida Panthers annual rookie tournament starts at Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs with the Washington Capitals taking on the Tampa Bay Lightning at 2:30 p.m. The Cats will then do battle with the Nashville Predators at 6 p.m. Admission to all games is free.

The 2016 World Cup of Hockey gets underway at 3:30 p.m. at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre with the USA meeting Team Europe. The game will be broadcast on ESPN 2. The night cap features Team Canada versus the Czech Republic. ESPN News has that one for you at 8 p.m.
