Thursday Offseason Caterwaul: Florida Panthers and NHL Playoffs Open Forum

The Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators resume hostilities tonight at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh (NBC – 8 pm) for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.

Nashville knotted the series at two with back-to-back wins on home ice. If the Predators go on to win the series, they will become just the sixth team in NHL history to overcome a two games to none deficit in the final to win the Stanley Cup.

In a bit of Florida Panthers news that you may or may not have heard already, there will be a slight change or two to the Cats sweater when the league makes the switch to Adidas as its uniform supplier.  Florida is one of 12 existing teams (Boston, Buffalo, Calgary, Colorado, Columbus, Dallas, Edmonton, Minnesota, Nashville, New Jersey and Ottawa are the others) that will see changes to its uniform. The league will unveil all of the new Adidas-styled sweaters on June 20th at special event at Intrigue at the Wynn.

Who will win Game 5?

Penguins 15
Predators 23
