In addition to the Florida Panthers signing first-round pick Owen Tippett to a three-year, entry-level contract, there were some other signings around the NHL on Wednesday.
Nashville’s Pontus Aberg signed on for two more years with the Predators. His cap hit will be $650K per season.
The Colorado Avalanche came to terms with three players, re-signing forwards Gabriel Bourque and Felix Girard, as well as defenseman Duncan Siemens to one-year, two-way contracts.
Forward Martin “I wanna buy a vowel” Frk remained with the Detroit Red Wings, signing a one-year, two-way deal. Frk will be paid 650K at the NHL level and $250K in the minors.
The San Jose Sharks re-upped with left wing Marcus Sorenson, signing the Swede to a two-year contract.
