Tuesday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The Florida Panthers remain off until Thursday. Their next opponent, the Washington Capitals (5-1-3) suffered its first loss regulation this season, dropping a 3-2 decision to the Tampa Bay Lightning at AMALIE Arena. It would’ve been nice if the Capitals could’ve picked up the regulation in win that one, instead the Bolts have won three in a row, and are now six points behind the Cats with each team having played nine games. Both the Panthers and Capitals will be well-rested for the upcoming game as Washington also gets Tuesday and Wednesday night off.

The Chicago Blackhawks picked up its first win of the season, cruising to a 5-1 victory over the visiting Ottawa Senators. Patrick Kane returned from COVID protocol and put up a hat trick and Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 29 of 30 shots get his first win with his new team. A Western Conference team beating one from the Atlantic Division… I’m all for it.
