Notes:

Erik Karlsson leads Ottawa in scoring with 80 points (16G, 3GWG). He is the first defenseman to reach that plateau in 19 years…The Senators are just 3-4-2 in their past nine at Canadian Tire…It looks like the Cats will face either the New York Islanders or New York Rangers in the first round of the playoffs…The Philadelphia Flyers are also still a possibility, albeit a small one…

NHL.com Preview:

Goalie Craig Anderson will start. Defenseman Marc Methot (undisclosed) returned to practice Wednesday after he missed the Senators’ 5-3 loss against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday, but hopes to play Thursday. Forwards Bobby Ryan (lower body) and Mark Stone (upper body) did not practice. Stone is out, but Ryan also hopes to return after sustaining an injury against the Penguins. (More)

Yahoo.com Preview:

Following a subdued observance of its first division title in four years, Florida looks to stay sharp with a fifth consecutive victory when it visits the Senators on Thursday night. The Panthers secured home-ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs and set a club record for points with Monday’s 4-3 win at Toronto. (More)
