Red doubles up White as Panthers wrap Development Camp

The Florida Panthers wrapped up its 2023 Development Camp at Panthers IceDen in Coral Springs yesterday.

Florida’s 37-man group of prospects and camp invitees ended the week with a scrimmage that ended in a 6-3 win for Team Red.

Scoring for Team Red were Wilmer Skoog, Gracyn Sawchyn, Sandis Vilmanis, Liam Arnsby, Jake Wise and 2021 first-round pick Mackie Samoskevich.

Kai Schwindt, Jack Devine and Owen Lindmark got the goals for Team White.

2023 fifth-rounder Olof Glifford started the game for Team Red and didn’t allow a goal in the first half. Charlie Robertson of the OHL’s North Bay Battalions allowed three goals in the second half.

Tyler Muszelik and Cooper Black shared the net for Team White. Muszelik, a sixth-round pick in 2022, gave up four goals in the first half while Black, an invitee from Dartmouth, was beaten by Wise and Samoskevich.

After the scrimmage the two sides played a shootout which was featured a beautiful finish by Matteo Giampa, who will begin play for Canisius College this fall.
