LBC’s 2018 Playoff Predictions Contest: Round Two

Alright! The second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs are set, but first, let’s get to the first round results of LBC’s annual playoff predictions contest.

NDPanther was the first round winner, going a perfect 8-0 with two bonus points for a total of 26 points. NDP amassed his bonus points by calling the Capitals and Bruins wins in the correct amount of games. Amazing job, NDPanther! I think that’s the first time since we started doing this someone has gone 8-0 in the opening round.

Honorable mention goes out to JakeCPanther (24 points), Najski (24 points), ZIm! (23 points), Jeff Lipson (23 points), DayZeroPantherFan (23 points) and Mike2theL (22 points). That group all posted an impressive 7-1 record. meisenbergpanthers (22 points) went 6-2 with four bonus points.

If you didn’t enter the first round, no problem… you can jump in right now. There are round by round winners, in addition to an overall winner at the end.

Second Round

  • Boston Bruins vs Tampa Bay Lightning
  • Washington Capitals vs Pittsburgh Penguins
  • Winnipeg Jets vs Nashville Predators
  • San Jose Sharks vs Vegas Golden Knights/

The scoring for the second round will remain the same, three points for a correct prediction and a bonus point for calling the winner in the correct amount of games. Since there are less series, a tiebreaker will be added. That tiebreaker will be the total amount of goals scored in the Bruins – Lightning series. Since we are a Panthers blog, we’ll keep it in house with the Atlantic Division series. Please enter your picks in the comment section mirroring the example below. Remember, there is a round-by-round winner and an overall winner at the end, so even if you didn’t enter or do so good in the first round, get or stay in the game. Good luck!

Lightning (6) total goals: 33
