Florida Panthers sign Troy Brouwer to one-year deal

The Florida Panthers have agreed to terms with forward Troy Brouwer on a one-year, one-way contract worth $850K according to the fin folks at CapFriendly.

The 33-year-old Brouwer appeared in 76 games recording 22 points (6G/16A) with the Calgary Flames during the 2017-18 season. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound native of Vancouver, BC has played in 763 career National Hockey League games recording 341 points (169G/172A). Brouwer posted a career-high 43 points in consecutive seasons, while setting personal bests in goals (25, 2013-14) and assists (22, 2014-15) while a member of the Washington Capitals.

Brouwer, originally selected by Chicago in the seventh round (214th overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, has played in 102 NHL playoff games recording 34 points. Brouwer was a member of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks and helped the St. Louis Blues reach the Western Conference Final in 2016 with eight goals and 13 points in 20 games played.
