Wednesday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The Florida Panthers get an extra day off to bask in Monday night’s 4-3 comeback win over the Detroit Red Wings before they face the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday,

Florida currently finds itself seven points out of a playoff spot with two games in hand on the Montreal Canadiens.

The quarterfinal round of the 2019 World Junior Championship will take place today. All three Panthers prospects at the tournament have seen their teams advance to the knockout stage.

Sweden and Switzerland kick things off from Victoria at 4 p.m. The second game will see Owen Tippett and Canada face Aleksi Heponiemi and Finland from Vancouver at 6:30. Game two from Victoria will pit the United States against the Czech Republic at 8 p.m. and the final game from Vancouver will feature Grigori Denisenko and Russia against Slovakia at 10:30 p.m.

NHL Network will cover three of the four games with the Canada – Finland tilt being the unfortunate exception of us Panther fans. That game will be on TSN if you can access it.
