Weekend Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The Florida Panthers took care of a little more internal housekeeping yesterday, agreeing to terms with defenseman Alexander Petrovic on a one-year, one-way contract.

Petrovic, a restricted free agent appeared in a career-high 67 games with Florida, recording 13 points (2G/11A). The 6-foot-4, 206-pound native of Edmonton led all Panthers defensemen with 142 hits.

Over 228 career regular season NHL games with Florida, Petrovic, a second round pick (36th overall) in 2010,  has produced 48 points (5G43A). He has appeared in six career Stanley Cup Playoff games, registering four points, including one goal.
