With the Florida Panthers adding to both the major and minor league roster over the weekend I’d expect the team is about done in free agency.
What remains to be seen if Jason Demers, who used his modified no-trade clause to nix a trade to Vancouver, is still on the block.
It looks like, at least on paper, that the Cats top-six is set for 2017-18, but I’m of the opinion the club could use another third-line wing type or some toughness on blue line. If the rumor is true that Erik Gudbranson was Dale Tallon’s targeted Canuck, then he probably is still shooting for the latter.
