Panthers’ Skille Makes Rosenborg IHK Elite Debut

Florida Panthers forward Jack Skille suited up for Rosenborg IHK Elite for the first time in Thursday action from Norway’s GET-ligaen. Skille took seven shots on goal while skating on a line with Vegard Spets and center Rasmus Juell during the home loss. He finished the tilt with a -1 rating. Skille was on the ice when Lorenskog’s Lars Erik Spets opened the scoring at the 6:14 mark of the first period. After the goal, the game evolved into an exciting duel between goaltenders Simon Nordh and Jurgen Penker . Finally in the third period, Lorenskog’s Mathias Trygg beat Nordh on the power play to put Lorenskog up by two. Former San Antonio Rampage forward Wacey Rabbit picked up an assist on the play as did Marius Trygg. Kenny Corupe put the game away with 2:58 remaining on the clock with an even strength goal. Jurgen Penker made 42 saves to post the shutout while Nordh turned aside 35 shots in the loss. Rosenborg fell to 2-7-1 with the loss and remained in ninth place in the GET-ligaen standings.
