Sunday Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

A bit of offseason business was taken care of on Saturday to finish off the week before the 2020 NHL Entry Draft takes place on Tuesday and Wednesday and the opening of the free agent signing  period on Friday.

Let’s start in the Eastern Conference with the Pittsburgh Penguins inking goaltender Tristan Jarry to a new three-year, $10,5 million contract. In all likelihood, the signing of Jarry spells the end of fellow RFA Matt Murray’s time in the Steel City. (Pensburgh)

The Philadelphia Flyers re-signed veteran keeper Brian Elliott to continue backing up number one Carter Hart. Elliott, 35, signed a one-year deal worth $1.5 million to remain in Philadelphia. (Broad Street Hockey)

Robin Lehner finally signed his long-ago reported contract extension from the Vegas Golden Knights. Lehner, who took over the starting job from Marc-Andre Fleury, has a new deal that is for five years and worth $25 million. (Knights On Ice)
