Tuesday Offseason Caterwaul: Florida Panthers Open Forum

The Ottawa Senators signed forward Brady Tkachuk to a three-year, entry-level contract. The 18-year-old native of St. Louis native selected fourth overall by Ottawa in the first round of last month’s NHL Entry Draft. Tkachuk led the Boston University Terriers with 23 assists in his freshman season and finished with a +15 rating, second best on the team. (Silver Seven Sens).

Speaking of ELCs, defenseman Noah Dobson signed his with the New York Islanders. Dobson was selected 12th overall by the Islanders in June after completing his second season with the QMJHL’s Acadie-Bathurst Titan. (Lighthouse Hockey)

The New Jersey Devils signed RFA center Kevin Rooney to a new two-year deal. The contract is two-way in the first season and one-way in the second. Rooney appeared in one game with the Devils in 2017-18 and put up 34 points in 71 games for AHL Binghamton. (Pucks and Pitchforks)
